Presbyopia correction and treatment

The correction and treatment of presbyopia must be handled individually. The amount of accommodation varies not only from person to person but also from eye to eye. Nowadays, eyeglasses are still the most common visual correctional aid. Depending on what distances do patients need to correct we can choose monofocal eyeglass lenses for different distances or if it is not comfortable for them to switch between their eyeglasses, it is possible to choose bifocal or more modern multifocal eyeglass lenses which can correct various distances. Contact lenses or microsurgical procedures are used to correct presbyopia only to a smaller degree.
